Your records belong to you

Property and tenant data belongs to the landlord, not to Rentfolio. You retain control over the records you choose to maintain and can export them. A landlord determines the purpose and lawful basis for tenant data collection and is responsible for notices, consent where required, and accurate access permissions. We do not sell tenant records or use them to make housing eligibility or credit decisions. This policy explains the limited behavior of this demonstration as well as the intended service relationship.

What this site stores

The static demonstration stores bag selections, billing-month selections, and a promotion code locally in your browser under keys beginning with rentfolio_. It also remembers your cookie choice. Checkout and contact forms process input only in the current page to show a demonstration result. They do not transmit your name, email, or message to a server. Newsletter input is not transmitted or retained. Do not enter sensitive tenant information or payment information in these forms.

External requests

The page requests Cormorant Garamond and Nunito from Google Fonts. Your browser communicates with that provider and may disclose normal connection information such as your IP address. If fonts cannot load, local serif and sans-serif fallbacks are used. The hosting provider receives ordinary website requests and may keep operational access logs under its own arrangements. This site includes no analytics tags, advertising pixels, payment script, or social tracking widget.

A future live account

A live product would need account contact information, plan choices, property records, and authorized team information to provide its features. Collection should be limited to what is necessary for those functions. Tenant records should be accessible only to the landlord and authorized team or tenant users. Operational providers should process data only for service delivery under appropriate agreements. A separate, updated notice must describe any live payment integration or additional provider before it begins processing personal information.

Control, retention, and requests

You can clear this demo’s saved bag and preferences using browser site settings. A live landlord account should be able to request export and deletion, subject to legitimate retention duties and backup schedules explained at that time. Do not treat this demonstration as a storage or backup service. Contact the company below for privacy questions and identify the request without including unnecessary sensitive records. We may need proportionate verification before discussing a real account. We will respond under the requirements that apply to the request and explain any lawful limits on deletion or disclosure.
